Penny Black

Over at Cute Card Thursday this week, the challenge is to use red and green. Well of course that immediately brings to mind.....Christmas!
This is my favourite Christmas card to date. I went right out of my comfort zone with the tearing of paper....but I love it! This sentiment stamp goes brilliantly with the image. Went a bit mad with my olive ink pad too....! For some reason the sticky ribbon looks wonky in the picture but not in real life - not sure why, perhaps my picture taking skills, or lack of.

Photobucket

The image is Penny Black 'Joy Filled Stockings' and the sentiment is Stampendous I think. The image is coloured with ProMarkers and gel pens. There is stickles on their hats. I've inked the edges of the image, sentiment and paper with an olive green Ink It Up ink pad. The image and sentiment are mounted on to silver cs - now inked to look shiny olive green. The paper is from a DCWV stack - I forget the name. And I added a few sparkly peels offs - a tree in the bottom right and some stars, plus a sticky ribbon to finish.

Magnolia v Stampavie Challenge

This week at Magnolia v Stampavie (only the 2nd week of the new combined challenges!), the theme is 'Keep it simple', nice clean lines and no more than 3 colours to be used.

I hope my card below qualifies!! Its certainly simple and I've stuck to 3 colours (red, brown and green.....although I've used several different shades of them).

Photobucket

I can't believe I've actually managed to capture the sparkle round her hood!

Image: Tilda with hood, coloured with Promarkers, gel pen and stickles, mounted onto green bazzill and inked with a gold ink pad. The paper is from a Crafters Christmas Resource book I bought. Then added a sticky ribbon and stamped a starry snowflake border in green. Finally added three buttons from my Woodware 'coffee and cream' pack.

Now I have to pass it on to five friends! So I nominate:

I love the stuff all five of these ladies create so go check out their blogs now!

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Windswept Tilda

The theme this week at Papertake was 'Simply Sparkling', well I decided to make....yet another Christmas card! I went a bit mad with the sparkle and I'm not really sure about the end result. Anyway its one of the new Tilda's - I think she's called windswept, but not sure!

Photobucket

Image - Tilda, coloured with Promarkers and gel pen. The ground under her feet is stardust pen and crystal lacquer - doesn't show so well in the picture. The papers are from a DCWV stack, I think! Merry Christmas is a diecut given to me by a friend. There's also a piece of snowflake embossed card, which I've covered in stickles for extra sparkle!! Added some sticky ribbon (which is also sparkly) and some adhesive gems to finish.

More Christmas Cards!

Well once again its been a while since I posted....so much going on in my life right now!! But I've just received my Christmas Tilda's so I will be posting some cards with them soon - they're all sitting here next to me, coloured in and ready to go!
But in the meantime, here's another Christmas card I made:

Photobucket

The images are Penny Black stickeroos, with Papermania adhesive gems in the middle, mounted on to silver cs. Then a sparkly adhesive ribbon (Dovecraft I think!) and a Merry Christmas peel off. Very simple really.

Another Christmas Card

Yes its another Christmas card! You can tell its that time of year again, all my posts from now on will likely be Christmas cards ;-)
This one was nice and simple to make.
Photobucket

It was made like this - cut an A6 black card blank in half. I can't remember where the packing paper is from....possibly a DCWV pack, I inked the edges of it with a white ink pad and trimmed one end with my fancy scissors. The image is a Penny Black stickeroo. Topped off with a sparkly ribbon (Dovecraft I think!) and some Papermania adhesive gems.

Now for something completely different!

Well I've been making some Christmas cards this week, will be showing them one by one over the next few days.... But I decided this was an ideal time to go outside of my comfort zone and do some 'different' cards. I've also been trying to use some of the things in my craft box that I don't seem to get round to using normally - heat embossing stuff and so on.
Anyway here's the first one:

Photobucket

The peel off was one sent to me by a friend, stuck on acetate and coloured with peel off markers. Then I just used my Penny Black sentiment stamp. The stamped sentiment started to bleed a little so I went round the edges with my silver gel pen, I quite like the effect.

Minimalist but I'm happy with it.

Sketch Saturday

Another fab sketch from Jo at Sketch Saturday this week, although I must admit I had to think pretty hard about it before any inspiration struck! And of course I used one of my gorgeous new Tilda's then decorated the inside with the new accessory stamp. Be warned - its very girly!

Pink Tilda Ice/ Ballet princess

Photobucket

The only thing is I keep wanting to add a sentiment somewhere but I can't decide where! Suggestions...??

I used 'Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess' and 'Pink Ballet Slippers', coloured with ProMarkers and gel pens. I chalked the edges of Tilda and matted her onto pink bazzill, then used a strip of leftover K&Co sparkly sweet paper, purple bazzill, then the little squares are 1" of the same pink bazzill with a big pink button and some Papermania adhesive gems.

Stamp Something Challenge

Over at Stamp Something this week, the theme was 'Something for a Friend'. I've done a card, which I intend to give to my friend who has been in hospital for over 2 months now with a broken leg. Shes getting a bit fed up so I thought may be a nice card would cheer her up a bit.

Pink Tilda with striped tights

Recipe: Pink Tilda with striped tights, coloured with Promarkers, chalked round the edge, layered onto bazzill cs, cuttlebug embossed card, ribbon from stash and the sentiment is made up of Papermania cardstock stickers.

Naughty Blogger! And Cute Card Thursday

Well I have been a naughty blogger, no cards for about two weeks now! But I'm off work this week - the Dr signed me off due to a nasty wisdom tooth extraction on Friday - so plenty of crafting time!
My new Magnolias arrived yesterday from their new 'Pink Collection', I ordered three 'people' and one accesory, and I made some cards with them today so I will be showcasing them in the next few days.
Here's the first, 'Pink Tilda with rose'.
Photobucket

Isn't she gorgeous??! I'm really pleased with how my colouring came out but unsure of the card overall. Anyway this is also my entry to Cute Card Thursday, which was the fab theme of 'Buttons and Bows'. I know its an age til Mothers Day but everytime I look at this image I picture her peeking up at her mummy with a rose in her hand!!

Image: Pink Tilda with rose, coloured with promarkers and gel pens. Inked round the edge.
Mounted onto bazzill CS, cuttlebug 'swiss' dots folder also mounted on bazzill. Die cut border
from a swap, buttons and ribbon from stash, sentiment from craftwork cards.
