Stamp Something Challenge - Sentimental

The challenge this week over at Stamp Something is to use a sentiment.
I created this card the other day for my father-in-law's birthday and thought it was perfect for this challenge!
The sentiment was created using my Scrabble letters set of stamps. I can't recall the make but they are great. The paper is from my stash as is the card.

Promarker Challenge

This week's I <3 Promarker Challenge is animals! I had to make a card for my friend's hubby whose birthday is next week and I really struggle with men's cards. Luckily I came across my cute but manly (!) koala stamp from Whipper Snapper!

He is coloured with Promarkers (of course!) and cut out using my extra large Woodware circle punch. He's then layered on to navy blue card cut out with my extra large Woodware scallop circle punch. The paper underneath is from a K&Co pad but I don't know what it's called and the sentiment is from the Whipper Snapper cling set called '29 Again.

Papertake Challenge

The Papertake Challenge this week is 'Bloom and Grow', which was handy for me as I was making this card for my hubby's Grandma.

The stamp is a fairly new purchase from Penny Black, I think. I stamped it once using Versamagic in Cocoa Bean then went over it again with Galaxy Gold, which has created a nice effect. The sentiment is Elzybells, stamped in Cocoa Bean.

The paper was from a K&Co pad but I don't have the front cover any more so don't know what its called! The card is just from my stash.

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

This week's Sugar challenge was 'anything goes', which suits me just fine!

I have so much stuff these days and nowhere for it to live thats easily accessible so I tend to do a whole batch of cards at once. So this is one of the ones I made for June!

The stamp is an old Magnolia one I've had for a while and I've coloured Tilda with Promarkers. The sentiment is a stamp from a Whippersnapper Clear Cling Set. The set is called '29 Again'.

The yellow card border is one I received in a swap.

One of my favourite blogs

I thought it would make a change from my usual posts to put a link to one of my favourite blogs.
The Card Grotto is a blog by Michelle. She makes the most stunning cards. I love her simple style and her colouring of images is always beautiful.

Something a little different

Usually I use either a stamped image, a sticker or a decoupage image but these are a little different. The first and third I've used backing paper with an image on it. The second I've used a beautiful butterfly punch, which creates a 3D effect. Finally on the last one I used my scrabble letter stamps to create the word 'Scrabulous'.

Stickers

Stickers are a great alternative to stamping and colouring an image when you haven't got the time to spare. I really like the Penny Black stickeroos and tend to use those more than any other brand. Here's a few:

Stripes

I do love stripy paper. Particularly in pretty pastel girly colours! Here are some favourites:

Some decoupage

I don't often use decoupage but I like the effect you can create with it and there are some really lovely kits out there. So I thought I'd show a few cards I've made using decoupage.

Random Ones

A few more. As you can see I'm simplified my style a lot and I think this definitely works best for me.
