Question for all you crafters!

I've got a question for my fellow crafters:
What is the one item, outside of your 'standard tools' that you could not live without? Something you bought thinking it would be handy now and then and has ended up being in almost permanent use!! Mine has to be my corner rounding punch.

Yet more Magnolias....

And here are the other cards I made today - Yes I know more Magnolia stamps, god I love 'em. Went a bit OTT this week and got an order from Elzybells stamps (I really wanted one of their personalised 'Handstamped by' stamps), bits from QVC and a few more bits from the sale at Artymiss. I think some no spend weeks are coming up!

Tilda & Co Challenge

This week's challenge over at the Tilda & Co Challenge blog was 'Bugs'. This is my attempt:

Photobucket

I used a tall DL card from my docrafts sample kit, Tilda with boots stamp, coloured in with watercolour pencils, the bees are stamps, used butterfly peel offs and a 'Happy Birthday' peel off, framed with sticky ribbon. Oh and Tilda is mounted onto one of my 'Foto Finesse Toppers' from Handy Hippo. I liked the idea of a 'real' background.

Peel Off Card

Over on MSE (www.moneysavingexpert.com) we've got a thread going on card making and the lovely Polly sets us a challenge each week. This week was to use peel offs in a card - thankfully my docrafts sample kit turned up which included peel offs! So here's my challenge entry:

Clare's Challenge / Cute Card Thursday

These are two cards I made for Clare's Challenge over on Do Crafts. The top one is also my entry for Cute Card Thursday's 'Animals Only' challenge.

Photobucket

This one was a Penny Black stamp coloured with watercolour pencils, chalked the embossing round the edge, added a ribbon and some embellishments from my stash. Finished with a sentiment secured with a heart brad.

This one's a Tilda stamp coloured with watercolour pencils, I chalked a 'sky' in the frame, coloured the flowers with watercolour pencils, added 3 flowers embellishments from my stash, and again a sentiment secured with a heart brad.

First Christmas Card

Photobucket

This is the first christmas card I've made this year. I found the Paper Nation stamp quite tricky to colour as its more detailed than I'm used to!! Got a couple of Christmassy Tilda's on their way so will be able to play with them soon. You can't seen where I've written 'ho ho ho!' in silver under the picture either. I have no Christmas sentiments to date and the printer is on the blink!!

Today's Cards

So today I went a bit stamp mad and created several cards. My four new Tilda stamps have just arrived (got another coming from Ebay and then an order of 10 from the Magnolia website!!) so I intend to create with those later.

Let me know what you think!

Help!

Ok, so I bought some beautifulred pearlescent aperture cards in an online sale. They arrived and they really are lovely. My issue is that the aperture is a really intricate butterfly design and I'm totally stumped as to what I should do with it!
Any suggestion welcome....?! Please!!!!

Relative Newbie

Well I'm a relative newbie to crafting but my stash has grown VERY quickly and I'm really enjoying cardmaking. Once my scrapbook kit turns up in the post I will be branching out into that too. Hope you like my cards. Will post my photobucket link then add more into posts later.
