Whiff of Joy cards

I have to say I absolutely ADORE the gorgeous stamps available from Whiff of Joy (you will find Katharina's blog in my sidebar). So far I've only been able to buy three of them but there are more being released on 4th October and the DT have been giving previews this week - and WOW! So glad I've been saving my pennies...! Anyway here are two cards I've made with the stamps I had from the previous release (I'm green with envy that the DT get the whole lot!)

Stamp Something Challenge

The Stamp Something Challenge this week was to.......stamp something!! So thats what I did! Have been wanting to use this super cute Whipper Snapper stamp for ages!

Penny Black Saturday

Penny Black Saturday had the theme of 'Seasons' this week. So I took the oppurtunity to make another Christmas card.



I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

There was a FAB sketch over at Spoonful of Sugar this week, I played around with lots of images and papers, and here's what I ended up with:

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Papertake Weekly this week is an Autumn theme. For my card I used one of my new Whiff of Joy stamps - the link to Katharina's blog is in my sidebar. This one is Oakley on his scooter. I coloured him in using some nice autumnal colours. Sorry its not a great picture.

Cute Card Thursday

Cute Card Thursday this week was 'Pretty in Pink'. Perfect for me as I had a friend to make a card for who loves pink and had also coloured in and mounted this lovely Jemima Puddleduck image.

You can't really see the rub on in the picture, but its silver and says 'Happy Birthday'.

Stamp: Jemima Puddleduck, ProMarkers, gel pen mounted on pink bazzill, gems from Papermania. Backing paper from a QVC pack. Rub on from my stash - lost the packing somewhere!! Ribbon is Anita's sticky.

Sad news and cards....

Well I had the sad news yesterday that my son's nursery is shutting down. The last day was today (yes I know total shock for everyone, including staff) so I now have to find him somewhere else to go. He has been there since he was 5 months and was really excited as he'd just moved up to their pre-school. I'm totally gutted for him and I know all the staff have taken it badly. It was a very emotional day for everyone.
Anyway I spent last night, taking my mind off the big issue at hand, by making individual thank you cards for all the staff. Thankfully its a small nursery so only 10 staff, but here's my cards:





















All the staff have been so brilliant and my son loves them dearly, I know he will miss the staff and kids so much.

Spiral Whisper Challenge

This is the first week of the Spiral Whisper Challenge blog and this week was a sketch (you will find the link in my sidebar).

You have to use Spiral Whisper stamps on your card but thats ok because my new ones just arrived!!!

Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

The Spoon full of Sugar challenge was to create anything but a card. The DT entries are totally gorgeous - you can find the link in my sidebar.
You can now also use ANY stamp you like so I decide to use one of my new Spiral Whisper stamps to create a bookmark.



Quite simple but I like it.

Stamp: Martha Ballerina from Kerry Steptoe @ Spiral Whisper, ProMarkers, gel pen and glaze pen. Mounted onto pink card from Paper Mill. Ribbon from Dovecraft. Stickers are Papermania and read 'Love a Good Book'.

I've really struggled to do any actual challenges this week!! But I'm hoping to get all of the 'usuals' done this week as well as any cards I need for this month so hoping to have lots to show my blogging buddies!
BUT in the meantime here are some I made JFF (just for fun!):



Stamp: Sleigh ride from Sugar Nellie, Pro Markers, glaze pen, gel pen and stickles.
Mounted onto silver CS, and Dovecraft DP (Tis the Season paper pad) and red card blank, stamped with white using a Lizzie Anne Designs 'snowflake' stamp from Silly Monkey Crafts. Sentiment is a peel off.


Stamp: Whipper Snapper 'Sundae', Pro Markers, glaze pen, gel pen. Inked round the edges with an Ink It Up pad.
Gems from Papermania. Vintage style alphabet dome stickers from Silly Monkey, spells out 'enjoy it' - much clearer in real life! Pink bazzil CS and a dark pink card blank. Anita's sticky ribbon.


Stamp: Whipper Snapper 'Denny Dinosaur', Pro Markers, gel pen. Gems from Papermania. Inked edges with Ink It up pad. Patterned CS from a DCWV glitter pad. Orange card from Paper Mill. Green card blank. Sentiment is a peel off.


Stamp: Lizzie Anne designs 'fairy' from Silly Monkey, Pro Markers, gel pen and stickles. Gems from my stash. Inked edges with Whispers lilac ink pad. Mounted on pink bazzill. Sentiment is a rub on. Anita's sticky ribbon. Cream card blank, stamped with Lizzie Anne designs 'sunflower' using an Ink It Up purple.


Stamp: Whipper Snapper 'party koala', Pro Markers, gel pen and glaze pen. Gems from stash. Mounted on blue bazzil. Blue embossed 'swiss dots' card. White DL card blank. Sentiment is a sticker (Papermania I think)
